Smart Home Yes? or No?

I have been looking around at different products to make my house a "smart house." I would like to use my smart phone to control the lights, turn on heating and air or set a schedule, and maybe lock my front door (if possible). I found one that says it will do all this at www.vivint.com, Reviews seem to be good and the price seems to be reasonable as well. I just might have to look into it more...
